This extremely talented photographer, Sydney Rose Photography , is home for the summer so we decided to have some fun! This time she chose another client of mine, Kelsey. If Kelsey looks familiar to some of you, she is also my helpful makeup assistant.
Kelsey is a budding artist who writes her own songs, sings and plays guitar which inspired both the photographer and myself. Details on her look below.

I always love when my talented daughter wants to do a photo shoot! Sydney is super creative and pretty much lets me do whatever I want, makeup wise. I’ve also become the stylist on these shoots, which excites me! Check out her website at Sydney Rose Photography for more of her captivating photography. (Seriously, she is soooo good!)
Sydney loves to use my clients as models and this time she chose Katherine. Katherine is beautiful inside and out. I absolutely love her gorgeous skin and cute freckles. For this shoot, I airbrushed a bit of foundation and kept her freckles visible, used the new “Soft Glam” palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills for her eyes, some contour, plum blush and also pushed some dark brick red gloss on her lips with my finger to keep it organic. Here a portrait from the shoot.

I was excited to do some bridal glam makeup on this beautiful bride, Brianna, for her wedding day. I also got to pamper her mom with a makeup session, who was her matron of honor. What a fun morning we had doing makeup, laughing and drinking mimosas!

My daughter, Sydney, was home for the weekend and was feeling very creative so we decided to have a photo shoot with the gorgeous Baileigh. I love being able to partner with Sydney because she is honing her craft of photography. She is trying all different styles to find her own. Couple her amazing photography with Baileigh and my makeup and we have a win-win situation.
This photo shoot started with color theory and outfits. I never want the makeup to match with what the model is wearing but all these pieces must come together and be cohesive. I decided to use medium tones on her eyes with smudgy (that’s a makeup technical term….😂) dark liner. I purposely stayed away from a deep contoured eye and kept her skin as natural as possible using just a bit of concealer and airbrushed foundation. I also kept her face fresh by adding bronzer and a light dusting of contour and a bit of highlight. With all that going on, I choose a matte lip and full false lashes to complete her look.
