My talented daughter, Sydney is an art minor at Clemson. She has won several awards for her photography and has been published in minor publications. So, we decided to collaborate together for her next submission.
As some of you already know, I love airbrush makeup. It is wonderful for photo shoots, brides, pageants and everyday. However, for my clients, I usually only offer airbrushed foundation with the rest of the face done by hand. So, I’ve challenged myself to do more with the airbrush. (Thanks to R&R Airbrush Makeup Artistry ).
Here is the final look. Now, keep in mind, everything is airbrushed . . . Eyes, liner, brows, contour, blush, highlight and yes, even lips. All products by Dinair.
Are you feeling in the holiday spirit yet or do you have a fun holiday party to attend? Try this contoured eye with a bit of glitter and rosy cheeks!
For flawless foundation, I airbrushed it using Dinair in Radiance for a slight glow to the skin. For the eyes, I primed them with Urban Decay primer and brushed on a soft yellow shadow as a base by Makeup Geek. In the crease, I used a warm light brown. Then, I used 3 different colors of green (all from Smashbox), starting with the lightest in the center of the lid, the mid-shade closer to the outside corner and then added the darkest in the outer corner. Closer to the inner eye, I used a soft Smashbox pink. Topped with a black Tarte slightly winged liner and then carried the darkest green and warm light brown to under the eye to give it a cohesive look. To finish off the eye look, I added Urban Decay glitter liner from my inner corner crease to mid-crease, tapering it off and my favorite wispy lashes from Ardell.
I wanted this look to have rosy cheeks, so I added a very bright pink blush and Deep End contour from Bare Minerals. Highlighter and brows are both products from Anastasia Beverly Hills.
I have had these sequins since I purchased products from one of my most favorite makeup brands, Pat McGrath Labs. All of her products come packaged in hoards of sequins (Watch the unboxing here!) and I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with them ever since! This lead me to my version of a sugar skull and painstakingly glueing on each sequin individually on with eyelash glue. Details on look below.

Taylor has been coming to me to get her makeup done for several years now. Not only is she beautiful and super sweet but she loves makeup and lets me always try new looks on her. For her pageant makeup this year, I did airbrush foundation, with contour and a pop of color for her blush. For her eyes, I went with some pinks ranging from mid tones to dark, into burgundy with some smudged liner. Then, I added some Urban Decay glitter in the color, distortion, to add some sparkle for the stage. I topped her look off with her favorite flirty false lashes. Taylor has won for the last three years in a row….Miss Freshman (FCHS), Miss Sophomore (NAHS) and now Miss Junior (NAHS)!!! Congratulations, beautiful girl!!

This beautiful senior, Dahja, had a makeup session with me and then a personalized photo shoot with the super talented Mary Beth’s Photography. We had so much fun together in my studio creating this look. Dahja is a natural beauty who normally doesn’t wear much makeup but wanted something special for her shoot. So, I did a contoured eye with shimmer, thin black, slightly winged liner and topped with false lashes to bring out her eyes on camera! I kept her skin flawless with a light airbrushing of foundation, some brighter blush and soft lip. Details on her look below….

Mary Beth Photography took these gorgeous portraits of Bella for her 11th birthday. I thought it was a really great idea to take portraits at this age, when most of time, this special age goes undocumented. I also loved the confetti balloons and thought it was the perfect touch! I had so much fun getting to know Bella and pampering her with a makeup session.
I am so lucky to have met this gorgeous young lady and her beautiful mom! They have been coming to me for a couple of years now and they always brighten up my studio! Jasmine likes to have more of a natural look so for her senior pictures, we went for a soft contour eye and thin liner with some smudge under her eye to really make them stand out. Since she has such thick and long lashes, so I just added mascara to top it off. I also keep the rest of her face natural with light contour and a pop of color on her cheeks. For her lips, we chose a soft pink with brown undertones that kept the look fresh.

I have known these girls for what seems like forever and I have to tell you, they became seniors in the blink of an eye! I was excited when I was able to do their makeup for their senior pictures! I used the same eye makeup palette on both of the girls, just in different ways so they would look totally different and accentuate their own personal style.

I am so lucky to be able to work with some wonderful, dedicated and hard working women. I believe that women should support each other, lift each other up and learn from each other. I have found my “tribe” of women who each have these qualities, who make me better and make my business better. We often get together to help with our businesses, bounce ideas off of and learn new ideas. Now, I’m not going to lie…. sometimes we do this over wine and food, which makes it even more fun! See below! 👇🏻
I have aligned myself with two of the best women in their fields, Mary Beth and Dana! Mary Beth with Mary Beth’s Photography, creativity always amazes me. She creates all of her own sets and her portraits are stunning! By the way, most of the portraits you see on my website are from her. She has an all natural light studio in North Augusta that specializes in maternity, newborns, children, family, senior and wedding portraits. Here is one of her adorable first year moments portraits…
You can check out her website here! Don’t forget to follow her on social media to see her sneak peeks and learn more about her work … Facebook and Instagram. Makeup on Mary Beth, pictured below, by me.
Dana with Dolce Delights by Dana is also part of this “tribe.” She creates the most delectable and delicious desserts. Not only are her cakes and cream pies gorgeous, they are literally the best things I’ve ever eaten! She creates custom order cakes and desserts, including wedding cakes! Dana is always sharing pics of her work on her Facebook and Instagram so go follow her!
Here is a photo by Mary Beth’s Photography of one of Dana’s delicious cakes for a cake smash! Side note….do you believe the babies actually smash it? It’s so perfect! 😱
So, now I’m curious? Do you have a tribe of women that you count on? If so, I want to hear about it!
