As my clients know….. I LOVE my job! It is what I’ve wanted to be before I knew that people could do it for a living. (Remember, those were the days before YouTube and “beauty influencers.”)
It brings me joy to see the confidence it inspires in women. One of my favorite aspects of my job is that of a teacher. I enjoy teaching all ages some of my professional makeup tips I’ve learned through all the years.
This brings me to the adorable Ashlyn and her hands on makeup lesson …. I think she rocked it! What do you think? ♥️♥️♥️
This beautiful lady, Jane, wanted me to show her how to do some quick makeup techniques for an everyday work look! She looks polished, but not overdone, bright eyed and ready to work on whatever the day throws at her.

It means so much to me when moms trust me to teach their daughters on how to correctly apply makeup. There are so many youtubers out there with crazy contouring, instagram brows and highlight galore. They are fun to watch but I’m not seeing that kind of makeup on the cover of fashion magazines, on the runway or on the red carpet. More time than not, you will see a more “natural” or fresh look.
I love to share my tricks of the trade on how to do a quick day look, then a look with more detail and finally, a going out look. At a makeup lesson, I teach a few techniques that my client wants to learn while giving them hands on training. It is so much fun and all my clients are loving the lessons without the pressure of buying product at a counter or boutique.
Morgan wanted to learn how to achieve a natural look without covering up her freckles (which I just love) and work on a few eye techniques. We used some of her own products as well as played with some of mine as well. She was a fast learner and was happy with her hands on experience. Here is this beautiful girl’s final look.
Foundation: BareMinerals Matte Foundation and skinny dip bronzer
Eyes and brows: her own products and a few Makeup Geek shadows
Lashes: her own!! (Wish mine looked like that!)
Brushes used: Mac Cosmetics, Sephora, Sigma and BareMinerals
