Are you curious about my top makeup picks for your face? Let’s begin.

I take pride in providing personalized makeup lessons to each of my clients and always take the time to carefully select the items that they enjoyed and that would work best for them. With their budget in mind, I offer recommendations and hand-pick products that will complement their collection. After years of experience, I have found some favorite products that I would like to share with you.

I’m going to start with all things makeup for your face. That includes foundation, blush, highlighter, contour and bronzer!

One of my go-to foundations for mature and/or dehydrated skin is perfect for achieving a natural glow. It’s also reasonably priced. Not only does it offer full coverage, but it also includes skincare, primer, and sunscreen. IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream, Illuminating. I also like it in the regular version for combo skin.

For oily skin, try MAC Studio Fix. It is long-lasting and has a wide range of colors. Add powder on top, if needed. It has a 15 SPF so I suggest layering sunscreen over your skincare, before your foundation. This is a buildable foundation, meaning that once your first layer dries, you can add another layer for more coverage. https://www.maccosmetics.com/product/13847/1231/products/makeup/face/foundation/studio-fix-fluid-spf-15

Many clients ask for advice on under-eye concealer, regardless of their age. Even with proper sleep, hydration, and rest, we all need a little assistance at times. When selecting a concealer, it’s important to consider whether you want to brighten your under-eye area or conceal marks and blemishes. If the latter is the case, you may require two different shades. For under-eye brightening, choose a color that is 1-2 shades lighter than your skin tone, depending on your preference. To hide blemishes, select a shade that closely matches your skin tone, except for darker spots where a warmer, slightly more pinky shade may help disguise better. This one has a natural finish, is long-lasting and waterproof. Also very little goes a long way! IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Full Coverage Concealer. I prefer the illuminating option available at ULTA but as of today, it wasn’t listed on their site.

Why not consider adding the perfect brush to your collection? This versatile tool is not only ideal for applying foundation but also features a soft, precise end that’s perfect for concealer. Love! IT Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Dual Airbrush Concealer Brush #2

Wearing blush can give you a healthy and vibrant appearance. My personal recommendations are the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush and Anastasia Beverly Hills Blush Trio. The Hourglass product has a smooth texture, a finely milled formula, and a subtle luminosity that is easy to blend. The Anastasia Beverly Hills trio is also great as it offers three different shades in one palette. My favorite is the Berry Adore palette, which has shades that complement almost any skin tone. For lighter skin tones, just apply with a lighter touch to achieve the perfect look.

You’ve found the perfect spot if you’re interested in contouring or bronzing. For your contour, opt for a cooler tone without any shimmer. For an overall tanned look, choose a bronzer with a warmer tone and a touch of luminosity.

If you’re unsure about where to apply contour, don’t worry – it can be a bit tricky! Every face is unique, so contouring techniques can differ depending on your face shape. For instance, if I were to contour my nose by using a darker shade on each side and then adding shimmer to the tip (which I definitely wouldn’t recommend), it would end up looking longer and pointier – not the effect I’m after! But don’t fret – I can help you learn how to contour for your specific face shape with a one-on-one makeup lesson. Both contour and highlight are essentials in my makeup kit! Hoola Matte Powder Bronzer https://www.ulta.com/p/hoola-matte-powder-bronzer-xlsImpprod820346?sku=2595640 and Anastasia Beverly Hills – Powder Bronzer.

Using a bronzer with blush can effortlessly enhance your face’s appearance. Bronzer can be applied to various areas like cheeks, eyes, and nose, to highlight the areas where the sun naturally hits.

If you’re planning to contour, it’s essential to balance it out by highlighting as well. Alternatively, you may want to achieve an all-over glow on your skin. Here’s what I recommend: for a radiant complexion, use these products after your skincare routine and sunscreen, but before applying foundation. Alternatively, you can wear them instead of foundation altogether! I personally fell in love with L’Oreal Paris Makeup True Match Lumi Glotion, a natural glow enhancer that doubles as an illuminator highlighter skin tint. However, it caused me to break out. Perhaps you’ll have better luck with it. https://www.charlottetilbury.com/us/product/wonderglow. It’s expensive but beautiful.

Sometimes, I like to try out different beauty products and recently, I decided to search for a new highlighter even though I was already satisfied with my current one. After some extensive searching, I came across the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette, a three-shade highlighting palette that I instantly fell in love with. It’s incredibly smooth and easy to blend, unlike some other options, I tried that were too chunky or glittery for my liking. If you want a reliable choice, the Anastasia Beverly Hills – Glow Kit is already perfect and a safe bet.
